Santa’s Reindeer and Frosty’s Friends stole the hearts of many, as the youngest students took to the stage, delighting their friends and families with their dance moves.

The performances displayed classical ballet, jazz, hiphop, tap and contemporary items which included festive elements, such as candy canes, mistletoe, baubles and tinsels, gifts and Christmas lights, Christmas rockers.

The senior students ended the shows with a fabulous hiphop item – ‘The Grinches Who Stole Christmas’.

Oakey Academy principal, Trudy Williamson said she was proud of every student who performed, and made mention of the “fabulous parents” who give their support all year round.

She said students also received excellent results in their RAD examinations and Class Awards and a couple of students participated in ATOD Tap exams for the first time.

Mrs Williamson said the 2022 season will get underway next year with an enrolment afternoon on Friday, January 28, 2022.
