Celebrating 90 years

Two locals recently celebrated their 90th birthdays.

Gordon Lack celebrated his 90th Birthday recently. Audrey Fisher was gifted a bouquet for her 90th birthday from her colleagues at the Beauaraba Op Shop. Audrey is one of the longest serving volunteers, and still works every second Wednesday at the shop.

Gordon Lack was born and raised at Back Plains but has since retired to Pittsworth.

He had his 90th birthday bash on June 22, celebrating with an “open house” for friends and family to drop by for a yarn at the Back Plains Hall.

Audrey Fisher also recently turned 90, and was gifted a bouquet of flowers by the Beauaraba Living Auxiliary.

Audrey has volunteered at Beauaraba Living Op Shop for many years, all the way back to when it was situated in Yandilla Street opposite the civic pool.

She still volunteers at the Op Shop once a fortnight, and cuts up bags of rags at her home, which are then sold at the op shop.

Congratulations Gordon and Audrey on reaching this milestone!
