Caravanners arrive for State Rally
Caravanners from around the state started rolling into the Pittsworth Showgrounds earlier this week in preparation for the annual Caravan Clubs of Queensland State Rally, which officially kicks off today, September 16.

The State Rally is held every two out of three years, with a national rally taking place every third year.
This year, members from approximately 30 caravan clubs across Queensland will travel to Pittsworth to enjoy a week away.
Although the number of attendees will be slightly down due to COVID-19 restrictions in New South Wales, it is expected that over 200 caravans will fill the showgrounds over the next week, so Pittsworth residents can expect to see increased vehicle and foot traffic around town.
President of the organising committee for the State Rally Greg Whitley said there is a fantastic line up of activities and entertainment for the week.
Although most of these are solely for registered caravan club members, such as live seminars, art and craft classes, sporting competitions and nightly concerts, there will also be a twilight market open to the public.
The market will be on from 3pm to 6pm on Sunday, September 19, and there will be 20 stallholders.
Entry to the market is from Factory Street and it is free to attend.
Mr Whitley thanked the Pittsworth community and businesses for their “fantastic” support.
He also thanked the Pittsworth Show Society and Toowoomba Regional Council who have been great with organising the grounds.
This year’s rally will run until September 22nd.
