Car wash proposed on Yandilla Street
Toowoomba Regional Council has received a development application proposing to build a car wash at 138 Yandilla Street, the former site of Oberhardt Transport.

The Material Change of Use application was submitted by Alpha Planning Applications on behalf of landowner Arek Farming Pty Ltd.
The site is west of the town centre, on the southern side of Yandilla Street between Hamilton and McIntyre streets.
The proposed re-development is for a 2,223 square metre site in the middle of the block.
An industrial shed currently exists on the site and was formerly used as a tyre and mechanical workshop.
The planning report says the industrial shed will be converted into a four wash bay car wash, accompanied by a dog dash area, admin/storage room, vacuuming bay and concrete sealed on-site car parking and manoeuvring areas.
The proposed hours of business are Monday to Sunday, 6am to 6pm.
Staff are proposed to be limited to five at any given time.
Vehicle manoeuvring, stormwater, traffic impact assessment and engineering reports were also submitted.
