Cambooya Pony Club successful at Oakey
The 2023 Oakey Pony Club Campdraft and Gymkhana featured stiff competition from around the Darling Downs, including from the Cambooya Pony Club, which had many members perform well.
Pony clubs participate in the march past.
The Campdraft, Oakey’s first since 2021 due to weather, had a total of 132 horse and rider combinations on Saturday.
Cambooya Pony Club’s place-getters were:
8-10 years - 2nd Max Mengel Cambooya
11/12 years - 1st and 2nd Gabbi Newman Cambooya
Seniors - 1st Jade Edmonstone Cambooya, 4th Daryl Hayward Cambooya
Sunday brought 108 horse and rider combinations.
Cambooya Pony Club’s place-getters were:
7/8 years - 1st & 2nd Indy Renyard Cambooya
11/12 years - 1st Gabbi Newman Cambooya, 2nd Zane Renyard Cambooya
Peelgrane Trophy Champion Club - Cambooya
