Ms Newlands spoke about her life journey and nearly fifty years of nursing.

The meeting was held in the lovely garden of Lyn Bass.

Members commented that it was a pleasure to walk around her large garden, which Lyn manages herself.

The jacaranda tree had created a carpet of purple for the club members to enjoy in the front yard and the owls living in the large trees at the back were a joy to behold.

The club also enjoyed a bus trip to multiple gardens in the region which won awards in the Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers garden competition.

The next Garden Club meeting is at Club Pittsworth on Tuesday 26th November at 9.30am.

The guest speaker for the morning will be Rhonda Ashton.

Attendees are invited to bring a plate to share and a cup.

The Christmas competition also requires members to bring a photo of themselves in an envelope with their name on.

For those involved in plays please stay behind after the meeting for a practice.

Flower Competition: a Christmas table arrangement in a mug with artificial flowers.

The Club’s Christmas party will be held at Rusty’s in the Pittsworth Motor Inn on 3rd December 2024.

It is for members only, cost will be $25.

The theme is a Christmas carol or song. No doubt it’ll be a fun day!

Pass the parcel is on again, so bring a gift to the value of $20 if participating.

The club needs to know numbers for the party, so bring your $25 in a named envelope to the meeting next week.
