The VaxBus schedule is:

  • Friday 12 November 1.00 – 4.30pm – Cambooya Public Hall

There are currently no plans for the Bush VaxBus to visit Greenmount, Hodgson Vale or Westbrook.

The VaxBus accommodates both first and second Pfizer doses for those aged 12+ and no appointment is needed.

A form of I.D is required to receive a vaccination, this can be a Medicare Card or other forms of legal I.D, such as a driver’s licence or passport.

The team will also have a free sausage sizzle, Zooper Doopers and gift bags.

Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN CEO Merrilyn Strohfeldt said the PHN has been working with local communities to organise rural vaccination hubs in areas identified as being vulnerable, having low vaccine uptake, or where access to a general practice or pharmacy has been difficult.

“The Bush VaxBus is a mobile Pfizer Vaccination Hub that targets small regional towns to improve access to the COVID-19 Vaccine,” she said.

“The PHN is aware of further rural and remote towns that are not on the current schedule and is working to organise further pop-up hubs, if required.”

It also aims to provide access to marginalised and
vulnerable individuals and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples living in the region.

The PHN encourages local councils and town leaders in the Darling Downs and West Moreton region to contact their vaccination team to organise a hub where access to the COVID-19 vaccine may be difficult.

To assist, call 4615 0932 or email info@ddwmphn.com.au

Further information about vaccination hubs can be found at the DDWM PHN website.
