Building takes on a new persona
The Pittsworth District Alliance has brought to fruition another project aimed at beautifying further our already smart looking town.
The former Department of Primary Industries (DPI)building on Short Street sports a new look.
New signage has been installed this week by Tierney Signs, of Toowoomba, on the former DPI Building which fronts Short Street, just off Yandilla Street.
The new signage depicts the history of Pittsworth.
The sign to the left covers a broad history of the Darling Downs, while the sign to the right of the doors puts the focus directly on the Pittsworth town and district.
The project was made possible with funding from the Toowoomba Regional Council’s Economic Development Grant Program and added help from History Pittsworth.
A spokesperson said Pittsworth District Alliance would like to thank History Pittsworth for their input and images.
