Bowls Day raises over $5k for LifeFlight
A charity fundraiser was held at the Millmerran Bowls Club on Saturday raising more than $5500 for LifeFlight.

Organiser Rochelle Hinks, who utilised the services of LifeFlight in July last year when she had a medical episode, said this was her opportunity to give back to the people who saved her life.
She aimed to raise $5000 for LifeFlight and was thrilled to have made more than her target.
“I’m so proud we’ve made the mark, and what I aimed for,” she said.
“So that’s going to help another person, another family, be lifted out of these towns that really, really needs it.”
Bowls Club representative Chicko said Millmerran as a community is fantastic at getting behind these events.
“It’s a really good little community,” he said.
“It makes us proud to live here. We always support each other.
“They [LifeFlight] do a fantastic job, and I hope you never have to use them but it’s good to know they’re there.”
People of all ages enjoyed a few rounds of lawn bowls in the morning prior to the multi-raffles being drawn after a barbecue lunch by the Millmerran Lions Club.
Outside past the green, there were mini markets selling trinkets, home baked goods, and handmade items.
The event had been postponed three times before going ahead, due to various reasons.
