Club president, Jo Lossberg, said all up 42 teams entered into the event.

“With 6 players per team, and a lot of extra horses, the Showgrounds were packed to capacity,” she said.

“With perfect weather and great fields for polocrosse (that are maintained by our local player, Gary Lang), all players were very happy with how the weekend went.”

The A grade final was won by Tansey, with the top Gold Coast team making them work for their hard-earned win.

Ms Lossberg said, along-side hosting the carnival, the club is preparing to build a storage shed at the local Showgrounds thanks to a grant from the Queensland  Government’s Community Benefit Fund.

“This shed will be of benefit to both the Show society and polocrosse to store equipment needed for both organisations,” she said.

“We have also received a grant from the Toowoomba Regional Council that will aid with the maintenance of the grounds.”
