Best Ever Heritage Weekend

The weather was perfect and eager visitors turned out in droves. All the main attractions were at the Showgrounds plus a couple of first-time displays such as the Retro Caravans and the Versatile Tractors.

Thanks to all the hard working Committee and Volunteers who made the Allora Heritage Weekend such a great success.

The weekend brings many visitors to our town, meaning a real boost to local businesses.

Visitors to the Showgrounds were kept busy checking out the vintage and veteran cars and trucks, historical machinery, grand parades, stationary engines, retro caravans and the popular Swap Meet.

Graeme McMillan, President of the Allora & District Heritage Weekend was happy with the huge crowd and the large number of exhibitors who turned up for the two day festival.

Not bad for a something that started in 1996 when Graeme and a few blokes put their tractors at the Showground as there was nowhere else to park them.

The tractors drew a crowd and 27 years on it’s grown into a popular Festival that’s become known Australia wide.
