Bears announce first women’s players
The Oakey Bears have announced the first four 2025 women’s players, including a new captain.
Grace McLauchlan
We proudly announce that the phenomenal Grace McLauchlan will lead our women’s team as captain for the 2025 season.
A stalwart on the field, Grace is a Toowoomba representative and the 2024 TRL Lock of the Year.
Known for her formidable defence and sharp game awareness, Grace is a true leader and a powerhouse in the attack. Her skills make her a game-changer every time she steps onto the field.

Kiara Taylor
We’re thrilled to announce that the 2024 TRL Player of the Year, the unstoppable Kiara Taylor, is joining our ranks for the 2025 season.
Fresh from a sensational breakout year, Kiara is all set to bring her formidable skills to the Bears.
Known for her hard-hitting runs that steamroll defenders and her slick playmaking abilities, Kiara has that X-factor that changes a game.
