Astro Force, a primary school musical created by Mitchell Wheeldon, explored the themes of resolving conflict, developing respect, working together and showing leadership.

Performed on Friday by Pittsworth State School Years 3-6 students under the direction of Beth Wheeldon, the show was an astronomical success.

From Captain Weaver to Zenzar, Vanestak to Tay-Alpha-1, Systems Officer Carpenter to Commander Trigaborg, students were the stars, displaying confidence and courage on stage to deliver lines, sing lyrics and dance to popular songs well known by the audience.

When you see tears glisten in the eyes of the dads present watching their child realise their dream on stage, you know you’ve hit the mark.

Months of hard work by staff, students, choreo-graphers, parents, P&C and production committee paid off with this cosmic event.

Black Inc, Pittsworth’s very own community band highlighted the brilliance of our local combined musicians’ talents.

Creative director, Colleen Greenwood, was on hand at all times to assist with the hazards of space travel.

Principal Carol Ann Coonan said the success of the show was testament to how the entire Pittsworth community connected to ensure that the performance was ‘out of this world’.
