Anzac Day next Friday
Services are being held across the local area to commemorate 2025 Anzac Day, the 110th anniversary since the Gallipoli landing in World War I.

Services are being held in Westbrook, Greenmount, Nobby, Drayton, Ramsay and Pilton.
The Westbrook Dawn Service is always one of the best attended in the entire region, and this year’s service includes a special mention of Vietnam.
As well as being the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landing, 2025 is also the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
Triple M Darling Downs announcer Lee Faulkner will be the Master of Ceremonies.
Group Captain John Bushell (Ret’d) will be the special guest speaker at the service.
Group Captain Bushell Joined the RAAF in January 1963. He trained as a navigator and was posted to No. 82 Wing at Amberley to fly on Canberra aircraft, which included active service in Vietnam, flying on Phantom F-4E and F-111C aircraft followed by postings in Edinburgh, Canberra and Jakarta.
