Allora Swim Club Gears Up for an Exciting New Season

As the warmer months approach, the Allora Swim Club is diving into a brand-new season, ready to offer both young swimmers and their families an opportunity to meet new friends, and improve their swimming skills. Set at the local Allora Pool, the club has a rich history of fostering a love for swimming, competition, and community spirit.

Swimmers of all ages and abilities are welcome, with our more senior swimmers at the ready to assist young swimmers to make it to the end of the pool if needed.

After a very successful 2023/24 season, with a focus on creating a positive, inclusive culture, the Allora Swim Club is excited to welcome new and returning members to our “Allora Swim Team”!

While fostering a competitive spirit, the club also emphasizes participation, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Local competitions and carnivals give swimmers the chance to represent Allora on a regional level, and many of our swimmers have had the opportunity to make qualifying times to swim at various State and National events.

The Allora crowd can always be heard at these events, cheering them on every step of the way!

For newcomers and returning members alike, the 2024/25 season promises to be one of the best yet. Our committee members are ready to hit the ground running with the first club night to be held on Friday the 4th of October and our home event, the Allora Rotary Carnival, scheduled early in the season on the 19th of October.

With record numbers last year at this carnival, it will be all hands on deck for a fabulous day at the Allora Pool. Life members of the Allora Swim Club and community members are very welcome to attend this wonderful community event.

Allora Swim Club is not just about the swimming! Families can enjoy Friday club night barbecues, fun nights, and social events that bring the community together. For more information on registration, training times, and upcoming events, visit the Allora Swim Club’s Facebook page or drop by the pool for our first club night to come and try it out.

Club nights are run at the Allora Pool on Friday evenings, commencing at 5pm with various races on offer each Friday to suit all levels of swimmers.

Registration is now open for the upcoming season! The swim club offers affordable membership options and accepts Fair Play voucher, which are accessible this year to all young athletes.

Time to dust off those goggles, grab your swim cap, and join us at the Allora Swim Club for an unforgettable season of swimming fun!
