Community contact of Allora Police - Just a friendly reminder to all our locals, that Allora Station is only a 2 Officer Station.  We do perform shift work, weekends and attend callouts to serious matters after hours.  At least one of us is working and on-call, to cover this area 7 days a week, all year around.  Because of this, the office cannot be open at all times though.

For Police contact when the station may be closed, call “000” if it is serious and/or urgent requiring an immediate Police attendance.  If less urgent, 131 444 is Policelink which is a staffed phoneline that will be answered to determine the appropriate Police response.

The Allora Station number is (07) 4666 3222.  Please be aware that if a call to this number isn’t picked-up by us directly, it goes through to an answering machine.  It does not divert to Officers.  The message will be picked up only when we return to station which may be that day, or the next depending on when you call.  That number is best used for general inquiries, to make an appointment, or generally if you can to wait to be called back.

Weapons licensing matters - The Qld Weapons Licencing Branch generally now, send out information to weapons licence holders via email.  We would urge you to make sure your contact details with Weapons Licensing – phone, address and email – are up-to-date please.  It also requires the licence/firearms holder to regularly check their emails and correspondence.

We have had a number of instances in recent times when licences have expired because the licensees have missed or not read renewal notices sent out at all, or in time. This then becomes stressful while the holder has to place their weapons into storage with others, and a little more costly because it then involves a new licence application fee and not just a renewal.

Please check your licence expiry dates and get your paperwork in early.
