160kph on Highway
On the afternoon of Sunday the 26th of September, Allora Police attempted to intercept a red Toyota Aurion sedan being false registration plates on the New England Highway, Spring Creek.

Approximately an hour later, the same vehicle was involved in a traffic crash on the Warrego Highway at Bowenville, where the driver ran from the vehicle before being arrested by responding Police.
The driver was identified as a 25 year old Warwick man, who was found at the time to be in possession of a replica semi-automatic pistol and other drug utensils.
He was charged with ten offences including dangerous opera-tion of a vehicle, evasion offence, obstruct police, possessing restricted items, possessing drug utensils, and other traffic offences. He was denied Police bail and will front Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Monday the 27th of September.
