Coral has been a dedicated member of the Ladies Bowls Club since before it amalgamated with the Pittsworth Bowls Club, some 10 years ago.

As president of the Ladies club for the 50th Anniversary, she put much effort into arranging the big day, with clubs from surrounding districts in attendance.

Coral has worked tirelessly for the whole club during her bowling years.

More recently, she has been the providore of all ladies functions and even some of the men’s big days.

Coral continues in this position even now.

Ladies Games Director, Jane Muggleton said Coral has always been a very good bowler.

Ms Muggleton recalls, not so long ago, when Coral won singles, triples and fours all in the one year.

While having lunch to celebrate her 90th birthday, Bowls Club Chairperson Bradley Hudson presented Coral with her Matriarch’s Badge and flowers.

No one has previously received this award in the ladies section.

Bowls continue for the ladies this week, and they will be trialling to play on Wednesday mornings with The Golden Oldies.

Make sure your names are in before 8.45am for a 9am start.
