A crew from Queensland Ambulance Service and an Oakey Police team were also called to the scene, but no one required treatment.

A spokesperson for QFES said the house and shed were well alight when crews arrived on scene.

“The house was already burnt down to the stumps when crews arrived,” the spokesperson said.

“The fire was fully dampened down by about 5.50am.

“There was no requirement for the fire investigator to attend the scene.”

Oakey Police Senior Constable Mick Hannant said it is believed that the property had been unoccupied for about 20 years.

He said the owners were in the process of having the building demolished when the fire occurred.

Constable Hannant said the incident is not considered suspicious.
