Condamine House wins again!

Pittsworth State High School held its annual swim carnival recently, with Condamine House remaining unbeatable in what was their 8th consecutive victory.

Taking out the trophy again this year was Condamine House.
Taking out the trophy again this year was Condamine House.

The Pittsworth Civic Pool was a sea of red, yellow and blue on February 2 for the high school’s first carnival of the year.

The Beauaraba Dragons seemed to fizzle out in the pool, but their war cries were roaring from the sidelines with encouragement.

Yandilla House fired back with its own war cries and some questionable karaoke.

A number of students tasted success in their respective events.

Age Champions were: Mervyn Briggs and Sophie White (12 years), Darcy Sutton and Zahlar Sims (13 years), Nate Hamilton and Harper Dever (14 years), Finlay Kronk and Charlotte Behrendorff (15 years), Aiden Farrell and Emilie Peck/Keira Quinn (16 years), Eric Lovell and Kiera Macdonald (17 years), Aramis McEwan and Jillian Tandy (Opens).

Congratulations to Harper Dever who broke two records on the day for the 14 years, Girls 40m Freestyle at 00:31:91 and 50m Butterfly at 00:34:07.

Well done, swimmers!
